Pedal & Paddle

NOTE:
Pedal & Paddle rides limited based upon watercrafts available. Reservations required and first priority given to Premium Registrants. Personal flotation devices (PFDs) provided if reserving a watercraft. You may also bring your own watercrafts but you must also provide your own PFDs and trasnportation of watercrafts are your responsibility. If bringing your own watercraft, it is not necessary to reserve a spot on the Pedal & Paddle rides. It is encouraged to ride to the paddle destinations with the group from Cameron Park but not required. Please indicate to event staff if not riding with the group.

Saturday
9:00 AM Guided Interest Ride: Pedal Paddle (French Island) Meet at Cameron Park and bicycle to the new Island Outdoors on French Island — Register at and choose stand up paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, or hydro bikes for a leisurely and family-friendly unguided exploration of the backwaters of the Mississippi. You may also bring your own watercraft. (Personal flotation devices (PFDs) required; space is limited so please register.)

Sunday
9:00 AM Guided Interest Ride: Pedal Paddle (Goose Island South) Starting with an easy 8 mile trail/street ride to Goose Island, south of La Crosse. From there, explore the pristine backwaters of the Mississippi at 10:30 a.m. with knowledgeable guide, heading South on Sunday. Limited number of kayaks available at no cost or bring your own, (Personal flotation devices required; space is limited so please register. ) (Start at Cameron Park, ride to Goose Island, paddle from there -- Sign up Required)

Monday
9:00 AM Guided Interest Ride: Pedal Paddle (Goose Island North) Starting with an easy 8 mile trail/street ride to Goose Island, south of La Crosse. Dark La Crosse Tour

Sunday
6:00 PM & 8:00 PM Guided Interest Ride: Dark La Crosse tour: The La Crosse Public Library Archives and Local History Department takes you on a bike tour of the . . . seedier . . . side of local history. This tour will visit the old “red light” district, and pass former speakeasies, gangster hangouts, and the occasional murder scene. Not all content of this tour will be entirely appropriate for young ears. Spaces are limited, so sign up at early for a spot. Free-will donations to the La Crosse Public Library are encouraged to help subsidize this event!

Marshing through History

Monday
10:00 AM Marshing through History: Join Wiscorps — the Wisconsin youth conservation corps — for a guided, family-friendly bike tour through the history and ecosystem of the La Crosse River Marsh. Bring a bike that can ride on crushed gravel or dirt trails, and be prepared to ride 7 miles at a slow pace. Leaving Cameron Park at 10AM to arrive at Myrick Center by 10:20; space limited to 30.
